Louisville Nests – Pretty in Prospect: Living Room

The homeowners had great furniture pieces in place, but we gave it a punch by updating using existing furniture in this Living Room.

Repainting Built-Ins

This two story space had large windows facing the backyard which allowed for a lot of light.  The warm, buttery cream the homeowners had on the wall was a great color choice, so we worked with.  In order to add a bit of interest to the bookcase we painting the back a rich gray color. The homeowner had a great assortment of bookcase accessories to work with, from decorative frames with family pictures to decorative books and plates.

We added a fabulous floor lamp to corner to add light and illuminate the beautiful piano.

Final Tweaks

We reupholstered the existing accent chair, added artwork, and a rug in a striking geometric pattern to define the sitting area.
