Color of the Month: Sherwin-Williams Sleeve 219

We couldn’t just pick one of these soft blues, so we decided to show you an entire color sleeve – color sleeve 219 to be exact.  This sleeve played a big role in our Homearama 2016 Office and Front Guest Bedroom.  The entire sleeve includes Tradewind (SW-6218), Rain (SW-6219), Interesting Aqua (SW-6220), Delft (SW-9134), Moody Blue (SW-6221), Riverway (SW-6222), and Still Water (SW-6223).

Take note: this is in the new Sherwin Williams Color Paint Deck where they have moved some colors to their neutrals group.  Older decks won’t have Delft (notice the non-sequential numbering on that one).

Plaid Accent Wall in Interesting Aqua, Delft, & Moody Blue

Interesting Aqua is the background for our plaid accent wall in last year’s Homearama office.  We wanted to make sure that the large wall opposite the built-in was able to hold its own without feeling out of balance.  We incorporated a couple of other colors on the paint strip (Moody Blue:SW6221 and Delft:SW9134) to create the plaid effect on the wall. A Sophisticated Teen’s Room in Rain

We painted the walls Sherwin Williams’s Rain (SW6219) and randomly placed stencils of vintage passport stamps in a pewter finish throughout the room.  Just one up from Interesting Aqua on the color strip, you can see that it seems so much brighter!  Window placement also influences how the color shows up. Click on the pictures below to get to the full post!
