Lake Forest Beauty: Foyer + Great Room

This Lake Forest Beauty has an angled entrance so we had to be creative in establishing our Foyer. We “borrowed” a wall from the Dining Room to make our statement. We painted the walls Benjamin Moore’s Jamestown Blue (HC-148) and added a demilune console table with abstract artwork above it.

For the Great Room, we decided to treat the homeowner’s red leather tufted sofa as a neutral and paired it with blues and grays. We added Sherwin Williams’ Balanced Beige (SW7037) with its gray undertone to the walls. We found this incredible horse print for over the mantle and accessorized the built-ins with their travel finds and pops of blue, red and silver.

For the recessed area, we added two swivel chairs and four drapery panels to the window.

Since there was no plug in the floor, we added this skinny console table along the wall behind the sofa. The rectangle shades on the lamp are the perfect dimension for the table.

Our color palette of blues, reds, and silvers were well represented in the spaces without overpowering the rooms. Enjoy!
