Mid-Century Renovation: Living Room Refresh
While we were redesigning our Den and Guest Bedroom, we decided to freshen up our Living Area. I call this room my “She Shed” because my husband Tom let me put all my favorite things in this space as long as he could have a bar cart for his bourbon collection. Our youngest daughter was moving into an apartment so I gave her our other sofa and opted for this gorgeous Chesterfield sofa in a navy velvet. We also added a cabinet for my collection of musical monkeys and a low media cabinet for the television. I do not believe a coffee table is always necessary in a space, but I love this round wood/metal table with inlay pattern. I did not add a rug in the space because I have one in the adjacent Foyer and Dining Area, but may add one if I find the perfect one. In the meantime, I will let our beautiful hardwood floors shine.
I love spending time in this Living Room. All of the great color and pattern in the upholstery make me smile – especially the little touches of red. Click here and here to see other updates to our home. Enjoy!
