|We have big news here @ Robin’s Nest Interiors. Our lease is up at the end of October, and I have made the difficult decision to close our retail location and move to a design showroom where I can focus more on individual interior design. |
Our retail store has been my second home for 8 years, and I am going to miss it terribly. However, this will be a good move for my business and my family. Although I have been incredibly blessed to have my mom and Abby by my side, running a small retail business and an interior design business are two full time jobs. Owning a small business is very difficult, and the shutdown with the pandemic was hard on me emotionally and financially. And finally, as you know, my mom has been with me every day since we opened until the shutdown, and the store is just not the same without her.
The good news is we are NOT closing. We are moving to a flex space – half showroom, half warehouse – and will continue to have inventory on the floor including custom upholstery, accent furniture, and the artwork, lighting, and accessories that we are known for. We will have a large workroom for all of our fabrics, rug, and countertop samples. The showroom is located in the Bluegrass Corporate Center and will be By Appointment Only.
The best news is that all of our current inventory will not fit into our new design showroom so we are having a Moving Sale! Beginning Monday, October 5th, all of our Full Price, In Stock Inventory will be on Sale. We will also be open 10AM to 3 PM on Saturdays during the Sale. Our final day will be Friday, October 23rd. Be sure to watch for Sale Announcements during this time.
Everything will still be available for purchase on our SHOP on the website at Sale pricing. However, we will not be shipping items, and all of your purchased items MUST be picked up by the end of the week they are purchased. Remember we will be open on Saturdays so you can pick up items then. If you have any questions, please feel free to contact the store @ 502-509-4530.
I am excited about the next step for Robin’s Nest Interiors. Abby will still be working with me on our website, social media, and design projects. You will still be receiving our Monthly Newsletter and Blog Posts of our projects. And you can all still visit us…you just need to drive a little further and let us know you are coming! P.S. It may take us a couple of weeks to get up and running, but we will hold an Open House for everyone to come and see our new location. Be on the lookout for your invitation!
I want to thank everyone who has supported our nest over the last 8 years. I have truly loved getting to know our customers and getting glimpses into your lives and your homes. This is NOT goodbye. When you are looking for a piece of art or just the right table, you can still count on Robin’s Nest Interiors to have the perfect piece. And of course, we can help you with all of your design needs. We have such a wonderful group of subcontractors that we work with, and we are here to manage those projects – large and small – to a successful completion. Redesign, remodel and renovation can be tough, and we are here to help!
